It has been an amazing year at Zadara Storage and we have a lot to be thankful for. We wanted to take a moment and thank our customers, partners, friends and associates around the globe for all of your support and for making this a year to remember!
Our growing team has been hard at work from day one. This year we saw frequent recognition for our technology and innovation. We were awarded a patent for our Virtual Private Storage Arrays (VPSA), named a ‘Cool Vendor‘ in storage by Gartner and won multiple awards including Most Innovative Cloud Service.
Among the highlights this year are our VPSA service expansion to over 20 new locations at service providers around the globe (including Amsterdam, London, Sydney, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Tampa and New York), delivering Enterprise Storage as a Service to the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem, and debuting our groundbreaking On-Premise as a Service (OPaaS) offering.
Latest Features
Recently, we launched several new VPSA features for our cloud and on-premises customers. I’m really excited about these innovations, and I want to take this opportunity to share some of our latest, unique capabilities:

iSER 40 Gb/s VPSA
We’ve added Mellanox 40 Gigabit Ethernet technology featuring iSER RDMA to deliver lower latency and higher transactional rate for databases. This is a first of its kind Ethernet-based transport mechanism for exceptional performance at reduced costs. -
Multi-Zone High Availability
Multi-Zone HA automatically and synchronously replicates data across a metropolitan area network. This added durability protects against site failure by offering seamless failover, ensuring that mission critical applications continue to operate in the face of the most severe failures. -
Microsoft VSS Snapshots
For the first time, public cloud customers can take online, snapshot-based backups of their Microsoft applications instead of implementing complicated workflows or stopping their mission critical applications to create backup copies.
What’s ahead?
I think 2015 is going to continue seeing disruptive changes in the Enterprise storage market, and I’m proud that we’re enabling our customers to take advantage of new capabilities, business models and efficiencies.
